Typing Certificates Explained: Requirements and Verification
A meaningful typing certificate should represent demonstrated performance rather than a value entered manually. TypingTutor.Online certificates use saved course mastery or qualifying test results.

Why requirements are intentionally strict
Short tests can be useful for daily practice, but they do not prove sustained performance. Speed and accuracy certificates therefore require longer tests, minimum accuracy, consistency, and correct-character totals. Course certificates require mastery across a lesson range.
What appears on a certificate
The certificate includes the learner name, achievement, WPM, accuracy, completion date, unique certificate number, verification URL, QR code, and the TypingTutor.Online brand. It can be downloaded as PDF or PNG and printed in landscape format.
Local and public verification
A local certificate can be verified in the browser where it was created. Optional server configuration enables cross-device lookup. The verification page clearly indicates whether it found a public or local record.
These are site-issued online skills certificates. They are not government, academic, proctored, or professionally accredited qualifications.
Protecting result integrity
The learner can enter a name and optional country, but WPM, accuracy, consistency, duration, and completion date are copied from saved evidence and cannot be edited in the certificate form.
Certificate questions
Can a one-minute test earn a speed certificate?
No. Official speed and accuracy certificates require at least five minutes of sustained typing.
Can a certificate be verified on another device?
Yes after the optional public verification API is configured. Without it, a local-only certificate is available only in the browser where it was created or restored from backup.
