TypingTutor.Online Chrome Extension Privacy
TypingTutor.Online is designed to provide a privacy-conscious typing-learning experience inside Chrome.
Local Progress
Core learning progress and preferences are stored locally in Chrome. This can include lesson completion, practice statistics, personal bests, daily goals, streaks, weak-key information and settings.
Review-request Data
The extension stores small local values used to decide whether and when to show the optional review request. These may include:
- Meaningful activity count
- Distinct activity days
- Dismissal count
- Next eligible prompt date
- Whether the Rate extension button was selected
This information is used to avoid asking too early or too frequently. The extension does not require a specific star rating and does not reward users for reviewing.
If the user selects Rate extension, the official Chrome Web Store listing opens. Any rating or review submitted there is handled by the Chrome Web Store.
Selected Text Practice
If you choose text from a webpage for typing practice, the selected text is used to create that practice experience.
Reminders
If you enable a daily reminder, the extension uses Chrome alarms and notifications to remind you about practice.
Optional Website Links
The extension includes clearly marked optional links to TypingTutor.Online. Opening those links takes you to the public website, which may have its own analytics and website privacy practices.
No Account Required
An account is not required for the core extension learning experience.
No Sale of Typing Progress
Typing progress stored by the extension is not sold as an advertising profile.
Changes
If extension functionality changes in a way that affects privacy, this page should be updated accordingly.
