Is the extension free?
Yes. The TypingTutor.Online Chrome extension is offered free of charge and has no in-extension purchases.
Does it require an account?
No. An account, sign-in, email address, or payment method is not required.
Where is my progress stored?
Progress is stored locally in Chrome’s extension storage for the current Chrome profile.
Does progress sync between devices?
No. The extension does not use a TypingTutor.Online cloud account or synchronization service.
Can a complete beginner use it?
Yes. Complete beginners can follow 24 progressive lessons with an on-screen keyboard, next-key highlighting, and finger guidance.
What does Practice typing selected text do?
It turns text you deliberately select on a normal webpage into a local practice exercise after you choose the right-click command.
Does the extension read every webpage?
No. It has no host permissions and does not continuously inspect webpages. Selected text is handled only after your explicit context-menu action.
Does it monitor everything I type?
No. It processes keystrokes only inside its own lesson and practice pages while you are using them.
Does it collect analytics?
No. The extension contains no analytics or advertising code.
Why does it need notifications?
Notifications are used only for an optional daily practice reminder that is disabled by default.
What happens when I remove the extension?
Chrome removes the extension and its local extension data from that Chrome profile.
Why does selected-text practice not work on a Chrome page?
Chrome protects internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, and some viewers. Try the feature on a normal website page.
Can I use it offline?
Most packaged lesson and practice features can work without the website, but links to TypingTutor.Online require an internet connection.
Is it the same as the full website?
No. The extension is a compact daily companion. The website includes the complete course, tests, games, statistics, achievements, and certificates.
How do I report a problem?
Use the TypingTutor.Online contact page and include the extension version, Chrome version, operating system, reproduction steps, and a screenshot with private information removed.
