TypingTutor.Online Extension Permissions

TypingTutor.Online requests only the permissions needed for its extension features. This page explains what each permission is used for.

Storage

Used to save typing progress, lesson completion, practice statistics, personal bests, daily goals, streaks, settings and preferences locally in Chrome.

Context Menus

Used to let users select text on a webpage and open that text as typing practice inside the extension.

Alarms

Used to schedule optional daily typing-practice reminders selected by the user.

Notifications

Used only for optional typing-practice reminders when they are enabled by the user.

Side Panel

Used to provide the TypingTutor.Online Side Panel Coach for quick access to practice goals and typing activities.

What We Do Not Need These Permissions For

The extension does not need these permissions to secretly browse your private files, read passwords or send your typing progress to advertisers.

Core Principle

Permissions are used for extension functionality and the core learning experience remains focused on typing lessons, practice, tests, games, numpad training and progress.
