Permission transparency

Every Chrome permission, clearly explained

The extension requests only four permissions that directly support local progress, selected-text practice, and optional reminders.

Extension v1.1.2Last updated: August 2, 2026

The extension’s single purpose

Teach and improve touch typing through guided lessons and user-initiated typing practice directly within Chrome.

storage

Used to save the selected learning level, beginner lesson progress, completed lessons, daily goal, theme, reminder settings, selected practice text, WPM, accuracy, errors, streak, and recent practice results locally in Chrome.

This information is not transmitted to the developer or third parties.

contextMenus

Adds the Practice typing selected text command to Chrome’s right-click menu. The extension receives selected webpage text only after the user deliberately selects text and clicks this command.

alarms

Schedules the optional daily practice reminder at the time selected by the user. Reminders are disabled by default.

notifications

Displays the optional daily typing-practice reminder after the user enables it. The extension does not send advertisements, promotions, or unrelated notifications.
