Sentence practice brings several skills together: starting capitals, spaces between words and punctuation at the end. It prepares children to type a short school response or everyday message more confidently.
For example, a sentence such as The dog runs. requires a capital T, spaces, a period and an accurate sequence of letters. Pause at each new word if needed.
Try this practice routine
- Read the complete short sentence before beginning.
- Use the opposite-hand Shift key for capitals when possible.
- Check spaces and punctuation before focusing on higher WPM.
