Protect one garden from hovering, weaving and diving birds. Ten levels. Three minutes each. Every word matters.

Type to send birds away

Each bird carries a word. Type its first letter to select it, then finish the word to make it fly away. Blue letters show your progress. Choose the bird closest to the basket first.

Keep food in the basket

Your garden has three food portions. A bird reaching the basket eats one. An empty basket ends your attempt. Survive a level and the basket refills for the next.

Ten gradual levels

Each level lasts three minutes and starts the next automatically. Small speed increases and new vocabulary keep practice challenging. Later birds swoop and flutter toward the garden.

Typing Birds: garden vocabulary typing game

Typing Birds combines calm garden artwork with a challenge to protect a food basket. Birds enter from above and the edges of the orchard and approach the basket along readable flight paths. Complete a bird’s word to send it safely away. You concentrate on the keyboard; no mouse aiming or firing is needed.

The game has a different objective from Typing Interceptor and Typing Rocket. Here you protect food rather than a home or city districts. You have three food portions per level, and missed birds use up those chances. Correct words make birds leave without harming them.

Vocabulary that grows with your practice

Level 1 introduces familiar words such as seed, nut, tree and leaf. Later levels bring fruit, flowers, garden tasks, bird names and longer words about nature and conservation. Each of the ten levels has its own word bank. Seeing and typing vocabulary supports spelling familiarity, while lessons remain the best place to learn finger placement.

Every level lasts three active minutes. The pacing setting increases in small fixed steps from 14 to 50, and arrival intervals shorten gradually. There is no sudden adaptive speed jump based on your WPM. Surviving starts the next level automatically, saves that level’s result and refills the basket. Level 10 ends with the final summary. You can pause whenever you need a break.

Practice, results and controls

Use a physical keyboard, or open your mobile keyboard on a touch device. A blue outline marks the selected bird. Incorrect letters do not advance the word. Escape or the pause control pauses play, and switching tabs pauses the timer automatically. Sound feedback is optional.

Results show correct letters, WPM, accuracy, birds sent away and your longest streak. Losing offers a retry at the same level. Practise missed words before trying again, or take a three-minute typing test. For structured learning, use the typing course and Typing Speed Improver. Game scores do not qualify for typing certificates.

Typing Birds is labelled Premium. The game checks account access before running; a verified paid subscription or explicitly enabled testing access may be required. View plans for current options.

How long can I play?

Ten three-minute levels give up to 30 active minutes. Losing all three food portions ends an attempt earlier. Pause freezes the timer and birds.

Does the game save my progress?

Each completed level is recorded in the existing game history. Guest records stay in this browser; existing account sync applies when signed in. Restarting or reloading does not resume an unfinished level.

How is typing speed calculated?

Game WPM uses correct characters divided by five and active minutes. Accuracy compares correct and incorrect keystrokes. Take a timed typing test for a comparable test measurement.
