Protect one city from incoming rockets and crossing salvos. Ten levels. Three minutes each. Every word matters.

Type before impact

Type a rocket’s first letter to select it, then complete its word. Your city battery fires automatically. Choose the rocket closest to impact first.

Defend three districts

West, Central and East each have one shield. A rocket impact destroys its targeted district. Lost districts cannot be repaired; defend at least one until the timer ends.

Ten gradual levels

Each level lasts three minutes and automatically leads to the next. Speed rises in small steps, with new vocabulary. Crossing paths and occasional paired salvos arrive later. City defenses reset at each new level.

Typing Rocket: a city defence typing game

Typing Rocket trains word recognition, accurate keystrokes and quick decisions. Orange rockets cross the night sky toward three city districts. Finish each word to launch a blue defensive shot. A blue outline marks your selected target and blue letters show your progress; incorrect keys do not advance the word.

This game differs from Typing Interceptor, where drones attack one home and consecutive saves can repair its shield. Rocket has separate city targets, irreversible district damage and overlapping attack paths. Your objective is to keep at least one district standing for the entire round.

Build speed with accuracy

Start with everyday words and a calm pace. Each three-minute level adds new vocabulary and a small fixed speed increase, from a pacing setting of 14 to 50. Later levels introduce longer words, crossing trajectories and occasional paired salvos. There is no sudden speed jump based on your live WPM.

Completed rounds record WPM, accuracy, correct letters, intercepted rockets and your longest streak. Your result cards let you replay, practise missed words, take a three-minute typing test or choose another game. Use the typing course to learn finger placement and the Typing Speed Improver for focused practice.

Controls and access

Use a physical keyboard for the clearest view, or open your mobile keyboard on a touch device. Press Escape or the pause control to pause and resume. The timer pauses when you switch tabs. Sound is optional; words, outlines and district indicators make the game playable with sound off.

Do I need a subscription?

No. This Premium game is currently open to everyone while subscriptions are being prepared. Access may change when Premium subscriptions launch.

How are typing speed and accuracy measured?

Game WPM uses correct letters divided by five and active minutes. Accuracy compares correct and incorrect keystrokes. It is a game measurement; use a timed typing test for comparable test results or a qualifying certificate test.

What happens when I miss a rocket?

Its destination district is destroyed. Other districts remain available to defend. Losing all three ends the round early. Missed words appear in practice after the result.

Is my progress saved?

Completed rounds use the site’s existing game history and practice tracking. Guest results stay in this browser; existing account sync applies when you are signed in.

Surviving a level saves its result and starts the next automatically. Pause whenever you need a break. Losing shows results and offers a retry of the current level; clearing Level 10 shows your final summary. A complete ten-level run is up to 30 active minutes.
