Marketing becomes easier when the audience is specific. Begin with the problem your product or service solves and identify who feels that problem most strongly. A local accounting service may focus on small business owners who struggle to keep monthly records organized. A typing course may focus on adults who use computers every day but still look at the keyboard. Write down the audience's goal, current difficulty, common questions, and reasons for delaying action. Then speak to real people when possible. Notice the language they use. Good marketing often reflects the customer's words more clearly than the company's internal vocabulary. Do not create imaginary details simply to make a profile look complete. Focus on information that helps you make a decision: what message to emphasize, where to reach people, what proof they need, and what action they should take next. A clear audience is not a limitation. It is a starting point for relevance.
