Checkout Champion: cashier numpad typing game
This guide is open to everyone. Playing Checkout Champion requires an active Premium plan or a covered school account. View account and plan options.
A checkout task with useful number patterns
Instead of copying unrelated digit strings, the game asks you to read an item price and enter it at a checkout. Later stages add a quantity step. This creates a repeatable pattern: identify the value being requested, enter it accurately and confirm before moving to the next field.
The product card, receipt and customer basket provide feedback about what was completed. Four scanned items finish a customer basket, while eight scanned items advance a career level. The illustrated market and earned coins are part of the practice setting. It is not a payment terminal, a shopping service or a professional till-training certification.
How to scan an item
Use a physical numpad with Num Lock enabled, tap the on-screen keys, or type with your keyboard’s number row. Your first numeric attempt starts the timer. Match the displayed price, then press Enter or Scan to confirm it. Watch the entry label: in Advanced and Adaptive stages, the next field asks for the displayed quantity, followed by another Enter.
Backspace removes the last accepted character. A wrong digit or decimal attempt counts as an error without being appended to the entry. Decimal prices use a dot, with comma decimal input also accepted. Check whether you are entering price or quantity before beginning the next value; entering the previous field’s value again will not complete the requested task.
From whole prices to quantities and adaptive entry
The forty career levels are grouped into four stages, each containing ten levels. Beginner starts with simpler whole-number prices and home-row digit practice. Normal introduces decimal prices. Advanced adds quantity entry, and Adaptive can expand the price field after a run of accurate items. Mistakes return following items to a shorter price form.
A session defaults to three minutes, with optional one- and five-minute shifts. You can select a starting stage between shifts, pause manually and leave the tab to pause active practice. Market milestones are tied to saved scan totals, so returning for another short session can continue the collection without requiring one uninterrupted visit.
Read your receipt and typing result
The receipt shows the latest scanned items and the round’s fictional sales total. Quantities affect the practice receipt, while completed scans contribute to baskets and career rewards. These totals should be treated as game context rather than money earned or a prediction of real checkout performance.
Typing results include scanned items, accuracy, keys per minute and customer baskets. KPM counts accepted numeric attempts over active time; Enter and Backspace are excluded from numeric accuracy attempts. Career scans, coins, customers and the highest level stay on this device, with supported account sync when connected. Review Numpad Statistics and general game history to compare sessions, then practise a weak digit in the Numpad course or take a standard Numpad test.
