A brave grey mouse with a teal scarf and a fruit launcher
HOW TO PLAY

A mouse, a monkey and one jungle bridge

Help the little mouse protect a rope bridge. The monkey walks closer while the round is running. Every correct key launches a small fruit, and completing a target sends the monkey farther back. Complete the level’s target count to win: the monkey tumbles into a soft leaf pile and the mouse celebrates.

  1. Sign in with an active Premium plan or covered school account.
  2. Choose Easy, Normal or Fast, then start an unlocked level.
  3. Type the highlighted key. Wrong keys flash red and let the monkey move closer; the target stays on the same key so you can try again.
  4. Complete all targets before the monkey reaches the mouse or the three-minute round limit ends.
  5. After a win, choose Next level. Repeat any level you have already unlocked.

If the monkey reaches the mouse, the mouse escapes safely and you can try again. Finish round ends the attempt early and saves any typed practice. It does not count as a win. Escape pauses or resumes; changing tabs or leaving the browser window pauses the round automatically.

Ten levels and three paces

Your jungle typing trail
LevelsTyping practiceRound goal
1–2Starter keys, then the whole alphabet18–22 letters
3–7Short words, jungle vocabulary and longer adventure words12–16 words
8Short phrases with spaces10 phrases
9–10Short lowercase sentences with punctuation6–8 sentences

Easy gives you more thinking time; Normal is balanced; Fast makes the monkey approach more quickly and increases the effect of mistakes. Later levels also increase the pace slightly. There is no minimum accuracy score required to win: complete every target before the monkey catches up. A maximum of three minutes is available for each level, excluding pauses.

Correct keys advance immediately, so you do not need Backspace or Enter. Type Space where the target shows ␣, and type the punctuation shown in the sentence levels. Letters are case-insensitive. Pasting, dropping text, holding down a key and automatic whole-word replacements do not complete targets.

Results, saved levels and Premium access

Your score is one point per correct non-space character. WPM uses correct characters divided by five over active round time; accuracy compares correct keys with all accepted correct and incorrect key attempts. The combo badge rewards a streak visually without multiplying your score. Game speed includes time spent reading and watching the scene, so compare runs on the same level and pace.

Completed levels unlock the next level on the same pace. Round results appear in the existing game statistics and Kids activity records. Supported personal and student account sync includes this progress through the existing game stores. Your unfinished round, live character position and partially typed target are not restored after refreshing. Administrator previews do not save learner results.

Jungle Rescue is included with Monthly and Annual Premium and covered school plans. It does not issue a certificate. Want another adventure? Try Word Hop, KeyQuest or the Kids games collection. New typists can begin with guided typing lessons or Letter Pop.

Questions

Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Tap the visible typing box to open your device keyboard. A physical keyboard also works. Use individual key presses and turn off word suggestions if they get in the way. The game supports English letters, spaces and the displayed punctuation.

What happens when I make a mistake?

The current tile flashes red, accuracy falls and the monkey moves a little closer. The target does not advance. Try the highlighted key again; you do not need to delete the mistake.

Does pausing use my round time?

No. The timer and monkey stop while the game is paused. Access is checked again before you resume.

Is this a free game?

The instructions are public, but playing requires active Premium or covered school access. Free games remain available in the main games collection.
